andymorley's pomes | KING CNUTTERS

Take one nutter
In a canoe,
Add a paddle,
Or two,
Then more nutters,
Yoo hoo..!
Hoist a sail,
And let it bloo..!

King Canoe Cnutters,
Do it when it mutters,
Shouts and yells and utters,
Orders contrary,
At the hairy,
Boys and girls,
As sails unfurls,
Will they capsize up to their eyes,
Their senses have got alibis,
But no they're back with gleaming eyes,
It's cool,
They're all,
Complete,
Replete,
With satiated nutterdom,
With cherries and with butter on,
And so off home to tea and bed,
Whatever else they do instead,
Of sitting quietly like me,
Drinking lots of cups of tea,
Taking photo-poetry...

I was quietly contemplating my navel by the side of a lake when a bunch of Army Cadets hove into sight with much splashing. The rest is in the poem.
